Matt Beames – Writer
Matt Beames is a writer based in the Southampton area. He has over ten years of experience writing for many different mediums, including theatre, prose fiction and poetry. Blood & Valour is Matt’s first project writing for the comic book medium.
Matt’s work covers a range of styles, and he draws inspiration from various areas including theatre, film and comics, with interest in creating work with thought-provoking, occasionally darker overtones. Matt has vast experience in adapting stories for new formats and audiences and is excited to bring the story of Sir Bevis to life as a comic for the first time.
Marcus Pullen – Artwork
Marcus has been creating comics since 2012 and has worked as a freelance illustrator and storyboard artist for film and video. He set up Blue Donut Studios with his wife in 2015 and is now using it to do exciting things involving technology. He lives in Hampshire and is a founding member of the Eastleigh Tec Hub. Marcus is inspired by anyone who also decides to pick up a pencil and get creating. His cat watches him disapprovingly.
Guy Stauber – Covers
Guy set up Shogun Graphic Systems™ in 2001, providing a bespoke digital illustration service to a wide range of international clients. He is currently represented by Richard Solomon Artist Reps based in Manhattan, & has recently exhibited work at Hero Complex Gallery in L.A & Comic Con in New York. Specialising in sports, TV, film & popular culture, Shogun™ consistently delivers high impact, concept driven aesthetics for print & the web. His clients include Sports Illustrated, DC, Marvel, Lucasfilm, Disney & Fox TV amongst others. Guy currently lives & works in Southampton, UK.
